So here is what you need to know! - Title status is the searchable field that we use to determine whether or not a home has been foreclosed.
- The MLS boards consider this data to be proprietary and owned by the broker who has the listing contract with the current owner of the property.
- No internet site other than MLS has full access to this information.
- Any home search you do will include ALL title statuses. So, you WILL see foreclosed homes, you just will not know that is what they are unless the text advertises the homes as such.
- In order for a buyer to conduct a home search that ONLY includes foreclosed homes, you MUST contact a realtor.
